DIY Button Rings With Your Kid
To me buttons were something that I can use while stitching. Was it with you too? I was having a conversation with my grandmother about stitching and sewing. During the conversation my grandmother displayed her button collection. I was totally amazed. Being a craft lover I realized, why not create something new and useful from these buttons. So with my niece I created this button ring. This ring quenches her accessory fetish and also brings out something new and creative.
So, here is how we made some colorful button rings:
Take a thick elastic strip, measure it to your figure size and cut it.
Once you have the elastic strip ready, use a needle and thread to stitch up the two ends together. Stitch a button on the stitched end by passing the tread through the button holes.
Once you have stitched one button on the elastic, glue up the other buttons over the first button. You can create a whole range of designs doing this.
That’s it! You are done! Just stitch up the first button for your child and let them create their own designer rings sticking up the other buttons.
This makes for a great gifting idea too. Kids will love this activity. Use up the rainy afternoons getting creative and making a few of these colorful button rings.
