How About Cleaning Toys This Way?
Buying toys is not an end to itself. There is so much more that comes into the picture. Maintaining and cleanliness is one such aspect of it.
Some quick tips to all the parents, to keep their kids toys clean and tidy-
Stuffed Toys: My daughter hugs her favorite Jerry stuff toy while sleeping. Being in direct contact for so long, calls for a proper sanitization. I toss them in the washing machine. Once they dry, they are ready to be huggable again.
Bath Toys: The best way is to plug holes into your child’s bath toys. To do this, one can use kid’s friendly waterproof glue. They tend to collect water and mold. This keeps the water ever getting inside. The best way in which I store my child’s bath toys is either a mesh bag or a wire tray, it helps in the drainage.
Baby Toys: Children are in a habit to put some toys in their mouths. The best way to keep these baby toys clean is- Take equal parts of vinegar and water in a bottled spray. Spray the mixture on the toys and wipe it off. As far as the vinegar smell is concerned, it goes away when the solution dries.
Plastic Toys: What I personally do is -If the plastic toys are non- electronic and non-porous ones, I simply put them onto the dishwasher and run the cycle. Once done, let them dry. Easy?
Toys with hair: The easiest way to clean these types of toys is to wash them with warm water and use a mild soap or even a baby shampoo would work. Rinse and let it dry. One should never use a hair dryer on a doll’s hair, as it would melt her hair. Remember this or be ready to see the doll have a new bald look. I remember seeing my daughter's Barbie doll in this way. So this tip comes out of experience.
I hope all these simple tips are equally helpful to you, as they are to me.
