Movie Review: Monsters Inc.

From the makers of the Toy Story trilogy comes another masterpiece.
This time Pixar dives in the realm of monsters. The story revolves around the 2 central characters: a blue colour furry behemoth called James Sullivan aka "Sully" (voiced by John Goodman) and Mike Wazowski (voiced by Billy Crystal). Both Sully and Mike work for a company called Monsters INC. which is a scream factory. It is the job of Mike, Sully and their co-workers to scare the living daylights out of children residing in an alternate dimension and harness their screams as power.
An innocent and undaunted human girl nicknamed "Boo" happens to wander into the alternate monster dimension (an event which seems like a catastrophe to a monster). Sully and Mike grow fond of their new companion and they embark on an adventure to get the small child back into bed in her own dimension. However the journey is a tedious one as they have their evil co-worker Randall Boggs and the CEO of Monsters INC standing in their way whose only aim is to harness as many screams as can be produced. Mike and Sully not only manage to get Boo safely back home but also find that laughter is an alternate but also a more efficient power source. They use this discovery to get Monster INC up and running at full capacity once again, only this time, the monsters play the roles of entertaining the children rather than scaring them.
I'm looking forward to the sequel releasing next year! It should be even better!
